George R. Horrigan CPA, CDP, CVA, PFS, CFP
President and CEO

George Horrigan founded Horrigan & Company CPA’s in 1995 as a CPA, business consulting and financial planning firm. He is President and CEO of the company. Mr. Horrigan has an extensive background in individual and business tax planning, personal financial planning, investment planning, retirement planning, estate planning, life and disability insurance planning, education planning, senior care planning, personal budgeting and fringe benefit planning. He also has unique training and experience in the business valuation, Information Technology, new business planning, choice of entity (S-corporation, C- S-corporation, LLC…) and business consulting areas that has resulted in him being recognized as an industry expert in these areas.

George oversees and personally provides such valuable services as tax planning and financial planning to individuals and businesses, as well as business valuation services. Besides being the “keeper of the firm vision” he provides consultations on the full range of business issues including the providing of various Business Planning and Consulting services and he also provides services to business in the form of Structure of Success™ services.

Prior to founding Horrigan & Company CPA’s, P.C., Mr. Horrigan started and managed five companies including three IT consulting practices. In these practices he provided and/or managed the providing of consulting, implementation, operational analysis, system design, project management, definition of system requirements, development of system specifications, hardware/software evaluation and selection, software package customization, computerization feasibility studies, long term IT planning, education, training, and installation and modification of software applications on various hardware and software platforms. The above work was performed in over 30 different industries.

Mr. Horrigan’s earlier experience includes having had his own CPA firm in the past and having also worked for a large, international CPA firm. He also has a number of years experience as an Accounting Department Manger, Plant Controller and an Assistant Controller with several fortune 500 companies. Mr. Horrigan holds a BA in Accounting as well as a Masters degree in both Accounting and Computer Science from Cleveland State University (Cum Laude). George is a member of the American Institute Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Georgia Society of CPA’s, Ohio Society of CPA’s, Financial Planning Association (FPA) and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA). He has been recognized in the Who’s Who National Registry, Who’s Who in American Finance & Industry, Who’s Who in America’s Computer Industry, Who’s Who in Executives and Professionals and is the author of four books.

Michael Raike
Director of Information Systems Consulting

Michael Raike oversees the delivery of (and personally provides) QuickBooks®, Peachtree® and other computerized accounting systems consulting services by our consultants. These services include the installation of, configuring of, implementation of, training on, support of and consultations on computerized accounting systems. Additional services include monthly, quarterly and year-end analyses of a businesses’ accounting system.

Michael is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor® who also teaches QuickBooks® training classes. Michael’s responsibilities also include consulting with businesses and business owners and providing Business Planning and Consulting services in the form of Structure of Success™ services.

Prior to joining Horrigan & Company CPA’s, Michael served as Controller and Chief Financial Officer for an entrepreneurial company in the intelligence and investigation services arena. Before that, he worked for a Big Four Accounting Firm as a Manager in the Business Consulting Area for the Financial Services Industry. Prior to that he was employed by a large telecommunications company as a Manager for major accounts.

In addition to working for other companies he has had his own business twice doing accounting and consulting work for smaller enterprises. He brings over 30 years of business experience in management, accounting, information technology services, consulting, sales, and marketing to the firm to share with other business owners.
